The period for submission of nominations closed on 15 October 2017.
The following nominations were received:

• Dr Randy Bennett for a second term as President
• Dr Anat Ben-Simon for a second term as Vice President
• Mr Dennis Opposs for the position of Full Institutional member representative (Region – Europe).

There was one additional nomination for the position of Full Individual Member representative. However the Full Individual Member representative position is not vacant.

Hence the 3 nominated persons are elected unopposed to the respective positions. These are:

• Dr Randy Bennett for a second term as President – 2 years
• Dr Anat Ben-Simon for a second term as Vice President – 2 years
• Mr Dennis Opposs for the position of Full Institutional member representative (Region – Europe). – 3 years

I would like to extend our congratulations to the three elected people and thank them for their willingness to serve the IAEA. Their terms of office commence on 1 January 2018.
