Recognition Committee
The Recognition Committee (RC) has been responsible for the development of a set of International Standards (hereafter ‘Standards’) that serve as benchmarks of good practice and provide a reference framework for assessment organisations (https://iaea.info/iaea-international-standards/). The Standards are intended to contribute to increasing the trust and confidence of stakeholders in assessments delivered around the world. The philosophy underpinning the Standards is aligned with the vision of IAEA to support and facilitate assessment organisations in improving the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of assessments and assessment systems. The Committee also cooperates with and assists member organisations in conducting self-evaluations against the Standards and in identifying opportunities for further improvement.
The RC is currently exploring the feasibility of IAEA accreditation for Assessment Organisations.
